A Great Name - Along with the Invention...

Hi Folks, I have a question on protection of the associated name of an invention of mine. The name is actually more clever than the invention itself, and may also be used with other products of the same category. I can see companies (that I am approaching for license) desiring the name, even if they do not like the specific design of my invention. So, wondering what the best means is to protect such a name that is intended for the product I have developed, but may be utilized for other products of similar category. And can I gain rights to (and potentially profit from) a name I thought of, even if my product never comes to fruition? If so, i imagine this should be worked into my sell sheet? Thanks in advance....Kurt

You can look into trademarking the name. I would also buy the .com and .net domains.

I have gotten 9 products licensed spending less than $100 on each, you can too.
