C'mon....we gotta build up this forum!!!! The whole way to learn about how to become successful at inventing is to NETWORK and talk.

You learn leads to retailers, manufacturers, patent attorneys...all of it from talking about your current situation.

NO NETWORKING....NO SUCCESS! Trust me! My product has gone from prototype to world wide sales in just over a year because I reached out and networked and there is no better place than a forum like this to start!

I was just at Edison Nation invention contest basically as a guest. I advised many inventors and was praised for it and I am able to do this because I reached out and networked like this and learned!

Anybody have any questions? Need advice? Wanna say hello and talk about inventing? I know people look here, one of my inventions are showcased on this website and people are looking.

If your shy about it how about just a simple hello. Start there and hang around, maybe you can get a blockbuster idea on the shelves and end up living the good life!

Hey Ron

I love your product and would love to hear more about your process from idea to market.

I totally agree with everything you've said.

I am currently working on a child's organizational product and am considering trying to get it licensed. I'd love to be able to take it to market myself, but there are more hurdles there. It requires plastic molding.

Jason

Hi! Edison Nation is a contest for inventors to first get on their TV show which is like American Inventor but all serious and second let them place your product with buyers of major retailers.

You can find all the information at edisonnation.com They do have a forum there too as you will see, but Michelle is working very hard here to make it better. Don't think that is a better place to "hang out" I like both. Some things here I like much better and they have some things that are very interesting.

I did meet all that run Edison Nation this past weekend. Nice people and the info is posted here by Michelle or I would not have said anything as respect for her.

Hello Jason,

You have made a comment on another forum. I am so sorry I did not reply. I have been EXTREMELY busy. Thank you for your interest. I hope I can help you with your idea. I want to help other inventors.

You see, if I contribute to my country a couple ideas that help build a company that helps my country that is great; but if I can help a 100 or a 1000 inventors do the same that is MAGICAL.

Jason, go to ThomasNet.com Punch in plastic manufacturers. There you will find hundreds state by state. Plastic can be competitive in the U.S. now because of automation.

I have a few plastic products coming soon. I like Blackwell Plastics in Houston, Texas and Cypress Industries in Austin, TX. There are many but these people were most experienced to me and treated me well.

I also have a very big child organization product that will be giant! There are big problems in that area. The mess makes moms nuts!

My story will be in the next issue of Inventors Digest and they did a product profile last month. I am in close with those guys now and Edison Nation. Wonderful helpful people and an asset to inventors.

Michelle has been so kind as to offer me a spot to blog my story and make a video for here. I will be doing that so I will wait for then to tell my story for the sole purpose of helping other inventors.

It is a shame that some BRILLIANT minds with inventions never get to help the public because they lack some simple info and confidence which can be taught. I will be teaching that in a unique understandable way that has never been quite said.

Mind you, my success was all in my head as I pictured, and so now it is real as I simply believed my head. No other reason, it is that simple and the only way to make it.

Said like a simple mind but truth. Think of it inside your head then believe your head. No one to stop you but you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jason...I forgot. Have you heard of the book Toy Inventors Handbook? I have a VERY big toy invention. Dealt with Shellcore Toys and talked to Mattel on it. It's on hold. My daughter actually came up with the idea when she was 7. I have done research on toy inventing.

This book is a MUST for toys. They also list every toy manufacturer and how many ideas they accepted the last year, how many were licensed, the contact names and phone numbers plus the story of many "little guy" toy inventors that made it and their advice.

This book alone may be your answer. Have you heard of it?
