this is a tad lame as this show has been around for a long time. In The UK, New Zealand & Australia it's known as Dragons Den .. exactly the same concept.

WHat is it with American TV continually taking other countries ideas and professing them as their own ?? .....

Till Death Do Us Part UK - All In The Family US
Man About The House UK - Three's Company US
Steptoe & Son UK - Sanford & Son US
The Office UK - The Office US
Fawlty Towers UK - Amanda's / Payne US
Kath & Kim Au - Kath & Kim US
Changing Rooms UK - Trading Spaces US
Life On Mars UK - Life On Mars US

...to name a few good ones .......

tell it like it is .... based on a UK series ....

It is the beautiful thing about free enterprise---one can see something and see that he/she can do it as well or better and then do it!! And if the show is on in the UK I don't think its going to come up on my list of channels. I am grateful for all avenues of information. There is a saying "There is nothing new under the Sun" so we "inventors" or re-designers are recreating everything hopefully with a new spin on it!
Just my point of view.
Best to all,
Mel
