I can readily relate to what has been the described as the Achilles' Heel of the type. The following quote in particular rings true for me:
"Perhaps the most fundamental problem, however, is that INTJ's really want people to make sense. This sometimes results in a peculiar naivete', paralleling that of many Fs -- only instead of expecting inexhaustible affection and empathy from a romantic relationship, the INTJ will expect inexhaustible reasonability and directness."
In my case this is complicated by the fact that my spouse, her mother and our daughter, all have a form of ADD/EFD. Simply put, the path between points A & B is NEVER a straight line for any of them but rather, a sort of "random walk". I find it extremely frustrating at times waiting for any of them to GET TO THE POINT!
