Flying car???

Hello again Inventor Spot!! "Great site"
When will we have our flying car???
Tomorrow, next week, or 100 years from now
(Seeing the videos on you-tube about flying cars)
Some people think its a joke, its fake, or not in our life time.
Why would we want one?? What will be the need of one.....
I could think of alot.
There is this flying car I saw @

Second: it'll burn you wallet, "has fuel" and a easy target, for the enemy. You get hit in that thing your dead.
Not a chance. no future in that, its just a airplane, "a ride" not a flying car!!!
The heating Helium idea... no go, But I'm still going to use it. We need it!!!
I will have a website up soon to show some pictures of our prototypes
And yes our "flying car" has no fuel, "has a aluminum type structure" "its quiet" and it won't burn your wallet,
And we can build it at any size, and you don't need to change the roads, and yes everyone will have one.
there will be something else on board (other then helium) that'll help it lift, .....hmmmm
Airships like the good-year blimp
great idea but to big, and they can't leave our earth's atmosphere
and if NASA knew about this....all that rocket fuel for nothing..........

There are a host of legal regulations & certifications along with medical liability Issues that one has to qualify for just like for flying a plane or jet pack.
Flying cars will only be for the RICH Elite.

Flying cars will NEVER happen.
There are to many reason WHY, Liabilities.
People can hardly drive cars, what makes you think they can FLY.
You need a Pilots License to FLY.
I should have added that you would have to have a Helicopter License to FLY a Flying Car.
With GPS & Computer Systems it would be Easier to get Into your Wonka Vator, Transporter or even a Time Machine to Travel than it would be to Fly a Flying Car.
I believe that will happen for the General Public before Flying Cars will.
If Flying Cars do become a Reality it will be for the RICH Elite, NOT the General Public because of all the Liabilities & Insurance reasons.
Flying cars? Not anytime soon for the average person. Maybe after several decades, but just think of how complicated they would need to be just to hover safely. Regular cars fail in a non-dangerous way. Flying cars .. well, they can't fail safely can they?

When someone say's Flying car, We automatically think of "BACK TO THE FUTURE"
Why does the Rich only Get a "FLYING CAR"
(More on that some other time)

We'll call it a "Air-car" and stick with that.
Our model can hover inches off the ground or hover in the sky.
That would be crazy, if you need a "Pilot license"

I honestly don't know how I will react when I see a flying car. I will be pretty shocked, I guess. Maybe because there is a part of me which is willing to move on forward yet there is also a part of me holding back.

In an attempt to put the question of flying cars to rest once and for all I'm throwing my two cents worth in. There are SO MANY reasons while we'll NEVER see the practical application of flying cars but I simply offer the following.
Powered flight has been around for over a century now. Cars have been around for more than a century. And yet we still have no flying cars. Why? Because the idea is RIDICULOUS!! It hasn't happened because it NEVER SHOULD happen!
Look at the attached picture of a traffic jam. It happens to have been taken in Malaysia, but it could just as easily be any freeway around LA during commuting hours. Look at all those cars and realize that they represent one TINY fraction of a percent of ALL THE CARS on the any given road on any given day. Now imagine that they're all airborne as people try to fly to work instead of drive. There's so much more that could be said to drive home the point once and for all that a practical flying car will NEVER exist, but does it REALLY need to be said??

I for one cannot understand, how you guys say, that the flying car will never materialize,
You guys are suppose to be innovative, inventors, idea guys and yes dreamers.
When Edison tried to sell his phone invention to a company, the company spokesperson, stated that he was not going to spend 10 thousand dollars on a toy. Two months later the toy had a value of 25 million dollars.
I think it is because of the picture you attached that there has to be a soulution. Flying cars would have the advantage of not having to follow one after the other, since there is depth and height added to the equations.
And computers would completely take away the threat of someone trying to shave and fly or add lipstck and fly at the same time.
They then will think about how the people in our times ever actually drove on the surface, with total free will. And casualties will be a thing of the past.
I am sure the mad scientist, is already working out all the details.
Mad scientist? Have you ever had a lucid moment, and had a more down to earth idea, that actually fits in the time we are living in? I think if you did you could invent things that needed attention now, and make some good money for your mad science projects.
But please, do not stop posting your mad ideas here on I-spot, we need mad now a days, just to make it through some days.

Flying cars are not impossible, but letting the general public have access to them is a scary proposition. There are things that can make them less scary. For example, no free flight via some navigation system that controls the flight between points. There is also the appeal of not having to expand the highways, for example from 6 to 8 lanes, to accommodate more vehicles. However, I know that the air traffic system is near capacity right now.
