Safety: A proximity sensor built into a cooking stove which scans the cooking area and shuts off elements / burners that are not in use after a set period of time.

Safety and Storage: A removable pot handle cookware system that allows more efficient storage.

Glow in the dark coffee mug for those late night bleary-eyed cross-country cruises.

Wake-up to an alarm with your own voice recorded message. "get up you LAZY SLUG!"

A rechargeable lightweight 'AirBroom' that pushes dirt along with an adjustable/ controlled air flow. Great for sweeping that garage floor.

The "Iris" eyewear system: Cell-phone/ ipod integrated into eyeglasses. Who needs bluetooth? Features...heads-up display, voice recognition and miniature stereo speakers in arms.

A contemporary styled chair that uses the stored energy of a mobility- challenged person's weight to gently lower or raise them ( to a near standing position). Low cost: Uses a combination of pulleys and limbs similar to a compound bow.

Hall of Shame: ...to the brilliant mind that redesigned a perfectly fine product into a sin-ugly alien cone-look dustbuster? unless you're one of the fifty people on the planet that live in a dome house with plastic furniture...it really doesn't look good anywhere you put it.. which i'm sure your revenue numbers are proving. I bought two and fitted them with outdoor speakers.

Gotta run...

Yes I realize a couple were too obvious not to be on the market somewhere. But God, I looked high and low for that chair and couldn't find anything even remotely close. Are you sure about that?

X, I think he's talking about a non-powered spring mechanism, with a long draw, which translates the potential energy of the user (height).

This would be a pretty schnazzy item.

I have a concept picture here at

if interested. I'm still working on the engineering to keep the seat orienting properly, and stable, through the range of motion. The actual mechanism details aren't shown ..but this quick sketch should clarify the direction I'm going in.

I think the potential is high, very high- for the targeted end-user.
People don't typically need assistance to reach a full standing position, just enough to get past the 'hump', which seems to be slightly over a 45 deg angle to the upper leg angle (makes sense). Which is also roughly 15-18" inches above seated height.

Hi maxv65

Take a look at a new post under the topic:
Scams, Cons, and Other Risks to Watch Out For

Topic post:
Millennium Marketing Group, Scott Norman

I am the inventor of a new type of ergonomic chair, one which uses a compound lever to effect a differential in tilt among the various components of a seating device. I hold two US patents on the device. I wrote the patents myself and filed with the aid of a good patent attorney. I have designed and built two working prototypes. I have the better part of ten years invested in developing the design. I have put money into it, but probably a lot less than you might think. This is because I have learned to do most things myself, which is what any inventor should do. One thing I did need help with, however, was effectively marketing my design.

I thought you might find this of Interest :?:
