Hey Cool Max:

I think it would be helpful to any investors if you tell them about your invention. I am no saying tell what it it if you describe the general category and what not, you may be more interest.

People with money don't just go around sending people emails randomly. You should tell them more about your idea and how much you need, etc.

Just my humble opinion.

This person is absolutely right.

Basically speaking how it works is you have to make a presentation to potential investors. You have to convince them as to why they should be investing their money with you - you have to show them "whats in it for them"

In most cases you will have to go to them - not the other way around

Even a fisherman considers the type of bait he uses to catch the type of fish he wants. Your approach is so generic that there is little chance that you will convince a "player" to bite, especially with the caveat that they must sign a confidentiality agreement before learning even the very basic aspects of your invention like the size of the market, the startup cost, the "what's in it for me" answers, etc. . But, nonetheless, I still wish you well, just as I would wish any fellow inventor.

Thanks Road Show

I am all over this web site. I have gave a hint.

The investment & return depends on the capital & the investor.

A Dream Invention would be an International Unisex Apparel Garment.

The last International Apparel concept that was Introduced was in 1946.
It was called the Bikini, That is for Women.

I created a totally new Apparel concept for Men.
It will Instantly become an International Unisex Apparel Garment :D

Apparel is the most International cut-throat industry.
It also happens to be the most money making industry.

I hope this spells it out for any Investor.

I agree with you on this. Apparel is an industry NOT for the faint of heart! Some rags to riches stories have come from this industry (pun intended), as well as horror stories of fortunes lost. There are a myriad of reasons for why an apparel line succeeds or fails...it's not just about the article of clothing. Are you in New York or LA? I live in LA area and this is where trends are born via Hollywood and the nightclub scene. You want to make it big? L.A. is where you need to be.

BTW, what sort of protection does your idea have?

Have you approached any of the apparell companies yourself? Are you wanting to make this yourself and distribute it or sell the idea to a company for a royalty?
You may want to look at a design patent if you are going to patent it. One warning though. It is easy for most fashion companies to come out with thier own apparell with just a slight differnce from your idea. If you are going this on your own be prepared for knockoffs. The larger companies in the apparell industry rip each other off all the time. Just look in the stores.
I agree it is a high risk, but high profit industry if you get in the right door. I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks for the support.
I have done my homework & all the leg work.
I am Unlimited in scope with this apparel concept.
This is why I need an Angel Investor before I go on the show
to mass-produce this product :D
American Inventor is the perfect International platform for my product.

Are you saying that you need an investor before you go on a show (I'm assuming one of those "inventor" shows)? Where will that leave your initial investor? I ask because usually the type of agreement between investor and investee will involve some detailed and specific terms about the invention and it's financialities. And wouldn't having an investor before you go on the show disqualify you for the show?

With that being said the best way to find an angel investor is to find out how others got their angel investors - going to the source - so to speak.
There have been instances of people just posting about their invention and then receiving word from potential investors because of that post. Is that what you are aiming for? :?:
