Whewwww! I feel better now.

After being kicked to the curb in Houston before the ink on my yellow wrist band could dry, I went home (a little) discouraged. To be honest, I haven't touched my invention since. But after seeing the first episode and realizing just how ridiculous it is, I'm sure I still have a chance at getting my invention off the ground. After the first few goofy ideas, they showed the lady with the "paper bib"....sounds amazing doesn't it????!@#$% . I told my wife, "if they put her through, then I don't feel bad about not making it through." Guess what? They did. A PAPER BIB GOT THROUGH! That basically proves that my invention will be a success.

No offense to the paper bib lady.

Hey DaddyMathis. Keep plugging away. You don't need the show anyway.
Wade, remember when we were all in the top 50 and the whole group was together? NONE of us knew or expected the editing to highlight the freaks on the show and edit our pitches, etc., the way they did. Most of us were shocked when we watched it on primetime t.v. The problem with this whole thing is we have no control over the outcome. And Wade, I couldn't agree with you more. So many inventions that were amazing were never even seen. I believe people like myself, Wade, Matt with Trailer Tower, Paul and Donovan with the Cookie Stacker, Joan Colvin with Characater Bear and a few others(sorry if I didn't mention you)made it to the finals because they liked our product. When we didn't give them the GREAT back-stories they were looking for, we were cut/edited. The good thing about anyone making it far in a competition like this without displaying the song and dance needs to know that they made it because their invention rocks!

I wonder if we will see the Toe-Jam tonight. Maybe he improved it and made a whole series of body part dispensers. Please forgive me, I am not knocking his invention. I am just kind of working off of the premise that We'll have another Therapy Buddy tonight!

it amazes me how many horrible inventions there are. the guy walking in "I started bouncing my flute around, so I invented this".. umm, that's a devil stick, and it was invented probably 20 years ago. Then the guy with the stupid ass pointy hat with american inventor stickers on it.. "can you tell me why it's a no?".. Umm, because it's an ugly hat, not an invention.

I think so far the paper remote control toy kit has potential (if it's truly ALL paper).. though him saying "how much paper you got?" isn't true. I'm sure the kit consists of one reciever, one speed control, one servo, one radio, a set of wheels. It's an interesting idea, but I have a feeling the folding is going to be a complicated origami that people won't understand how to do. The christmas tree extinguisher could actually work, and save lives.. however, most fires are caused (as proven by mythbusters) by using under-rated gage extension cords without a fuse. The foldable wheelchair I believe already exists in some form (perhaps not as compact), but there are definately foldable wheelchairs.

You print and build the wheels. 100% paper. You could see they were customized in some of the shots.

I remember hearing there was a patent on the tools you use to make the vehicles. I like the idea and made plastic models as a kid. I would've liked this idea. I would've enjoyed finding out how different types of paper worked. And of course my brother would've figured a way to light them on fire or blow them up with match heads.

That's no smear on the idea. I'm not saying I think kids lighting the cars on fire would be a liability. We used to blow up plastic models and light them on fire too. I don't think the paper aspect would make kids any more irresponsible or inquisitive than they ever were.
