Change in tone between Seasons 1 and 2

It seems to me that the show has become meaner and nastier this season. Last season, they did try to firmly dissuade people with bad ideas from wasting any more time, effort and money on them. For example, the Bulletball man, whom they solemnly advised to get his life back and stop throwing everything he had into a dead-end idea. This year, it's more like, "You're an idiot. Go away."

Have you noticed that this year they are focusing on how many years, and how much money you spent on your invention. So if you didn't spend thousands of dollars and many years of your life on it- you probably didn't make it thru. Personally I think that an idea that you have had
for 6 months, and spent $50 on is just as/or more interesting. That makes you think you could actually come up with an idea and follow thru!!
