I've created a DVD course on how to write your own provisional patent application, and it is downloadable for free from my website at www.PatentDVD.com. Do-It-Yourself Provisional Patent is a 3-hour instructional video that includes everything you need, including writing a detailed specification, drawing figures, and filing forms.

The only thing I ask in return is that you provide me your comments and, if you like the course, a testimonial. I am not sure how long the course will be free, so if you are considering pursuing a patent application on your invention, you might considering taking the course sooner than later.

Also, I recently released my newest product, Do-It-Yourself Patent Course, which teaches inventors how to write and submit their own nonprovisional patent applications, with a special emphasis on claim drafting. The course retails for $149, and includes a money-back guarantee. As an introductory special, the course will be sold for $99 until 11pm on Monday, Feb. 18, 2008.

I hope these resources help. Happy inventing and good luck!
Andrew Knight, J.D.

I just finished watching the 20 videos on preparing a provisional patent application. I thought the information was well organized and presented in a manner that was easy to understand.

I think these videos are an effective way for inventors to learn about this important aspect of the inventing process and you can't beat the price (free).

I thought so too when Andrew showed them to me and thought them worth sharing.

I haven't watched but a few of the segments and I have to agree that this is a valuable tool for the inventor community. It is sometimes hearing someone explain the process in plain english that makes the difference. I didn't expect someone so young with the Andrew Knight's credentials...possibly the "Tiger Woods" of inventors?? Good job Andrew.

Thanks for taking the time to look at theDIY Provisional Patent course. I sincerely hope that it can help inventors save some attorney's fees.

To "RSG" and "DSlackman," would you mind if I used one or more of your comments in a testimonial on my website? If so, will you tell me your first and last name and your city and state? If you are not comfortable with my mentioning your location, that's fine too.

I watched the "Do It Yourself Provisional Patent" course and Mr. Knight was very articulate and gave me more confidence to write and proceed with a provisional patent. I recommend the video to any one looking to save thousands on getting a provisional patent or non-provisional patent.

Thank you Mr. Knight for offering your knowledge and expertise.

hey usipe,
Thanks for the effort in helping others. If lots more people were open to help others like usipe, what a great world we'd live in. Enough philosophy.
I know getting a patent without spending thousands for attorney fees, etc. is something many would like, but equally as important is the knowledge to self-market the product once it's done. So many are standing around with product in hand looking for that next all-important step. It would be great if someone could put together a DIY program for that at a reasonabe cost....or free.
