I would suggest you not do anything further with your idea. I noticed you mentioned the"D" word which stands for Davison which mean disaster. Before you go any further, contact me and I will tell you exactly what to do.

STOP !!!!

$50,000 for what? Another one taken by Davison. :roll:

Check out "The Big Idea Group". If your product is marketable, they may take it.

BIG also have their own comfort zone. They won't deal your idea if it's outside of their zone. Unfortunately their comfort zone is similar to most of invention companies: the mainstream, easy to make, easy to market, little effort products. I don't blame they and if a company tell you they can market any idea, I think that's more likely a con.

BIG seeks idea submissions that fall within the following categories:

Consumer Product Goods (CPG)
BIG's CPG division encompasses a variety of products in kitchen and housewares, office, gardening tools, health and wellness, children's, promotional, fitness, infomercial, and more.

Food, Beverage and Packaging (F&B)
BIG's food, beverage and packaging division focuses on innovation in the food and beverage industry. We are interested in food and beverage products as well as related packaging, tools, gadgets, and technologies.

Retail and Promotional Products
In 2006, BIG spun off Inventor's Workshop, a company devoted to offering innovative products through retail and advertising specialty channels. Of most interest to Inventor's Workshop are office supply, toy, specialty gifts, and promotional items.

I would add this following quote from BIG inventor FAQ. That's how BIG evaluate an idea.

#19 What criteria will be used to evaluate my idea?

* Appeal
* Uniqueness/originality
* Market potential and brand life
* Competitive environment
* Meets safety standards
* No significant marketing, manufacturing, or intellectual property issues

#22 What are the chances that BIG will agree to try to license my idea?

BIG does not charge inventors for our services. Therefore, we must concentrate on only those ideas that are the most promising and match the needs of one of our clients. We choose to represent only 1-3% of the ideas we review.
