Hello everyone, excuse my bad english, anyway I have a working prototype with a patent pending status, I try to reach some manufacturers with this letter:

Dear: New Product Development

I am the inventor of an invention entitled “*************” I filed an utility patent application for my invention; I selected your company because you manufacture products that are similar to my invention. I believe the “*****************" will benefit your company in many different ways. Briefly stated, my invention comprises to “*************” . The unique features of my invention are “*************” ; the advantages “*************” .
I have enclosed a DVD of my invention which briefly displays the key components for your review.
I am willing to consider selling or licensing the patent rights to my invention. If you are potentially interested in the ““*************” ” please contact me anytime at “*************” or by email at: “*************” I look forward to your response.

Very truly yours,
“*************”

I already have the prototype and a video about my invention but I read it before that some companies like to be the first on take a look for consideration, that way I'm waiting on the disclosure, I'm not sure if I'm wrong that way i'm here asking,
I would like to see if somebody in this forum could provide me an advice on if what I'm doing is ok of if I have to change something.

Thanks for your time!

Hi sernas79. I'm not sure if I understand what you are asking. But, why would you hold back the details to any company, if you already have patent pending status on it?

You're right Scrup,

Actually I'm going to start making the product myself, and try to sell in it for internet and with local companies, as soon as I have uploaded the video about my product I let you know to have your comments on it,

Thanks,

Vincomgo I am assuming from your statement

That you and sernas79 know each other. How long before Vincomgo filed for the Utility patent have you been using his product? Also, are you both in the U.S. ? If not the laws in your location may differ from the U.S.
Come visit my sites at http://www.RogerBrown.net
or http://www.looking2license.com
I have gotten 9 products licensed spending less than $100 on each, you can too.

I think it's best to call them and talk to them in person.
