Ooops - I made a mistake.

I get mixed up once in awhile.

I watch alot of the Discovery, Science, History, Military & Learning Channels.

I ment to say The Science Channel.

It would have been nice to know about this before they started Advertising it, so that some of us Inventors could have gotten Involved.

I hope somebody from this website is Involved.

As an Inventor you need to explore all avenues.

I am NOT promoting another website, but some of the Inventors on this web site might want to check-out a website called IdeaTango.com.

They have contest's & it's another website that Inventors can get more Information about what's going on in the Invention World.

IdeaTango.com also has Information about what the Science Channel is looking for from Inventors for the show.

I listed it as Inventor Nation & it's really called Invention Nation, it's still all about Inventing.

As an Inventor it should be Interesting.

[Edited by Michelle to remove the highlighting and bolding you put up for the site you are not promoting] :(

Did you catch the "Deep Fried Diesel" episode?

Very interesting show. I like the guy who converted the bus to biodiesel...salt of the earth, man.

His three-point oil barrel check was:

1. kick it
2. do the stick test
3. siphon only from the top...there a buncha crunchies down there.

Words to live by, I guess. :)

So far I think Inventor Nation is Interesting.

Another Inventor on this website was trying to find away to reuse all the plastic recycled water bottles.

Plastic Floting Islands to Reclaim Wetlands.

The one thing I find Interesting is Nobody has thought of this old Idea of mine yet.

Solor Energy & Wind Energy are good & so is a garden on a roof.

Nobody has put it all together yet.

A roof can do all of the above at the same time.

One of these days designers will wake-up, the problem is that they want to keep you on the grid.

So what about Wind Energy when your driving down the street to recharge your batteries?

It would be a great idea except that windmills work by way of wind resistance, and the car would require that much more energy to move.

Along similar lines though: clusters of small "windmills" are sometimes used on the medians of divided highways to gather energy from the wind from passing cars.

Here in SoCal, a garden on a rooftop would be a GREAT idea; lots of sun and the sizes of lawns are laughable here compared to other parts of the country. Solar panels would be nice as well, but I'm not sure they can make enough power to take a house off the grid. Passive systems for heating water seem to be viable though.

The downside to these roof ideas is that appearances are somewhat important here , and permits would also be required. I could see these ideas working well in Europe and the UK where both people and government are actively trying to do more with what they have.

Is anybody watching this show?

What does everybody think about this show?

I think it is a good show & it's to bad that American Inventor wasn't more like this show.
