Anyone get an update positive or negative on their submission yet? I haven't submitted any ideas yet so I'm curious how long it take to know if your into final consideration.

Mine are still at the first step- submission received. Have no idea how long it will take, but the line will turn red if you are out of the running- so at least you will know. And they will be giving some feedback why you didn't make it- so that is cool!!

I'm wondering by them extending there search did they reach the number or the products they where looking for? Or is this another form of income for EE?

Boost member count for their site (Edison nation). Some PR as well.
Develop a product submit platform for long term.
Maybe they will find few better ideas to improve their show.
Have some income on the side.

One stone with several kills

They are developing a brand name among inventors and want a big piece of invention development/licensing market.

why would I do that when I can wait till next year then spend $400 on a plane ticket $300 for 2 nights for the hotel, $150 for car rental for the weekend and maybe $100 for food. Why would I waste $25 and stay Home

Of course if I had known about the internet thing, then I may have stayed home also. But since I got another one thru to the finals, and meet a lot of people, and had a really good time- I'm glad I went. What are the odds I can get a 3rd item thru to the final consideration??? I'm using up all my inventions this year. I may have to stay home and twiddle my thumbs next year when the auditions start.
