Those of us waiting on a call from Everyday Edisons can talk about it here. I am still waiting and I know several others are as well. If you got the call let us know what you were told please!

I was at the Indy casting call. I have almost forgotten about it as it has been so long ago! FYI - I made it to the television taping at Indy and after the taping, I was handed the letter stating that I was being considered. I also received the fall, 2006 letter saying to keep waiting until after the first of the year and the winter letter that they would make the final decisions after the last city. Hurry up and wait!

Butch,
I auditioned at DC back in January. Both of my inventions were taped and accepted for final consideration. But like the rest, except Spark, I have not yet heard anything either. My 11 year old son was with me and was permitted to be on camera with me. He said that it was the coolest day of his life, so the experience has already paid off for me! Good luck to you and all the others who are waiting notification.

Butch and pktwatch,

I was at the casting call in DC and was also moved on to "Final Consideration". I havent' heard anything at all.

I checked my caller id over the last week and there weren't any 704 area code numbers. There were many "out of area" without numbers--who knows--maybe one of those was Louis Foreman!

I wonder how many people from each city were put into final consideration.........I ask Louis Foreman soon after the Indianapolis casting call for some stats, here is what he told me:

There were over 500 inventions presented at the casting call and you were one of 60 to get into the studio. Slightly more than 20 were passed on to the next round where we start to do extensive research on the patents, market size and commercial opportunity.

At the time I felt very proud to be one of 20 passed on from a field of over 500. I have since received two letters stating that I am still in final consideration. I have been trying to find out if everyone who was put into final consideration remained there to the end or if some were eliminated along the way. I am just trying to get a handle on what my chances really are.........no call again today

Butch,

In DC, I didn't have my taped audition until 9:45pm and there were only 10-12 people behind me. One of the producers (I don't know the name) came over to me after my taping and wanted to know more about my invention. At that time, he told me that they saw over 800 ideas and that mine was the 48th they chose that day to go into final consideration and they only expected to chose about 50 from DC.

I was reading something online (I don't remember where, because I've searched so many places for information!) that stated that for the DC auditions, they only chose 49 total.

I still didn't get the call yesterday, but maybe since Spark got his call on Friday, today will be our lucky day--it is the 13th! Friday the 13th tends to be lucky for me!!!

Good luck,
Nettie

Anybody from San Diego hear anything?

I'm trying to follow these posts, but it is a little confusing. Are the Everyday Edisons people notifying the 25 finalists from each city, starting from Washington DC and working their way West, and then narrowing it down to the actual people, city by city?

By the way, I concur - these people were outstanding in every way. :D

I am not sure either. Maybe Michelle can ask DCinNC to come into this thread to answer that question......
