InventorSpot.com is growing & now has 2000 members.

InventorSpot.com is starting to get attention from all kinds of resources.

By the end of the year InventorSpot.com should have Media attention which I think will open the door to find Funding for a few Inventors.

Hi Anonymous:

Thanks for posting this. It's pretty impressive for our tiny core of inventors to grow to 2000 registered folks and growing, isn't it.

Whoo Hoo to us.

I want to take this moment to thank all the members here, including:

BottleSling Guy - for being one of our first inventors who supported us
Roger Brown - for helping us start this whole thing and showing inventors the way
Road Show - for being such a great supporter when we were just starting this

Cool Max and Inventor X and Contextion and 5 Rocks- for also being early supporters
as well

And of course Scrupulous, one of the great resources on our site for inventors and one of the "good people" we rely on to keep these forums going

Average Inventor, Mojo, Citizen, Make World Better, Levi Porter, Work2XL, Criterion D and Tony and many others who have joined us a bit later but really taken to helping the inventor community.

I am sure I am forgetting some others...D Slackman, ideagirl, Minnesota Inventor, American Cynic, Key....

Well, anyway, to you all and to all the others who are helping us create this site into something we all aspire it to be, THANK YOU!!!

If I forgot you...pipe in.

2000 folks! Wow. Welcome all of the newbies here too.

I wonder how long it will take us to get to 3000 folks? Can you imagine when we are 5000 strong?

I just checked and it took us about a year to get to our first 1000, and it just took us 6 months to get to our second 1000.

It will be interesting to see if we can get to 3000 by July? So another 1000 in 3 months?

Folks have told me there are only a few thousand active inventors in the US. Does that mean they are all here or are we sorely underestimating how many inventors there truly are in the US?

The people you listed are great help for any Inventor that comes to this website to get help with there Inventions & the Invention process.

I am not as an active member as I would like to be because I am not that knowledgeable about the Invention process.

I have turned a lot of people/Inventors onto this website, I do not know how active they are though.

It would be nice to see more members be more active including myself.

To your question if InventorSpot.com will make 3000 members by July of this year, I would have to say yes.

I just read the feedback about the 3 day workshop & it sounds encouraging that this website is on its way to International success.

I believe that it will not be very long before InventorSpot.com will be hosting it's own Inventor/Invention contest along with being able to fund a few Inventors Inventions through an Inventor Foundation.

Fantastic !! . Hope it grows bigger in due course of time and generate investor interest. There should be more publicity on sites that cater to inventors and inventor interests and on investor sites. Word of mouth or quoting this site as the source of any links taken from this site, would add to the publicity. It would definitely help out in the task taken upon by, Michelle and her team.

What I find special about a lot of people who take the time to give a piece of their mind about all the postings is, they do not come with an agenda or drop subtle hints of generating some business opportunities for themselves or their contacts. Even if someone does at least they would suggest or direct you to the site where an inventor can proceed further, with their invention. There are always exceptions.

Thankfully this site does not charge you for becoming a member or suggest it. The feedback, suggestions, advice, from Tony, RSG, BSG, Randy, Levi porter, Roger Brown etc etc etc, and all the other bloggers are quite invaluable, and would be very difficult to get, and one would have to learn the hard way, instead of being able to get a valuable insight, into the pitfalls of the invention process, the do's and dont's and the links to a lot of other useful sites, through blogging on this site.

If this site did not have the regular responders mentioned above and many, many, more whose names I have not mentioned, who take some time out to respond to one and all no matter how stupid the query, this site may have found it difficult to take of the way it has.

When I first posted my story, I did not expect to receive any response. The fact that it did and the fact the story has been viewed more than 900 times is testament to the fact that there may be a lot many people just checking out the site regularly, instead of becoming members.

It would be good idea if that checking out process by anonymous visitors can in someway be translated to membership, by the administrators, as it costs nothing to the visitor but would substantially enhance the ranking of the site and its appeal to investors in future.

GREAT GOING !!!!!!!!

So I put the marker out there that it would be amazing if we could have 3000 active members by July 2008.

Sigh.

We are about 400 folks short as of the 19th. Any of you lurkers out there willing to sign up to help meet this goal?

Anyone have ideas on how we can get 400 new inventors to join us?

Well, on a happy note, we had about 500 more folks join us in less than three months so far.

When I see that title of 2000 members appear on Recent Forum Topics, my heart dropped for a while. I thought we are close to 3000 members. If Anonymous Inventor read this, maybe you want to change it.

Well, it is now officially July 1 and we have 2691 registered members as of today.

It fell short of the 3000 I was wondering if we could sign up by 309 members. What is interesting is that we have many thousands of lurkers, so we could have gotten there.

Oh well, let's see how long it takes to get those 300+.

Thanks to all those who have registered for our forums and those who regularly visit our site.

If you want people to sign up as registered users of InventorSpot you need to invite them!

The Top of the website you have the Amazing InventorSpot logo...with tag line "Serious Fun For The Inventor In All Of Us" and to the right you have a search bar. Where is the invitation to sign up to be a registered user?

Where is the easy access link to sign up?

If you create one...they will join! I think that was in a movie or something?

Sincerely,
Steve Stark
