Once a company says they will license your your idea it will take at least 6 months to over a year for it to get to market. This depends on the compelexity of your product to manufacture, can they use molds/parts they already make or is this a totally brand new product.
Then once it is in production and shipped to the stores you will have to wait an additional 3 months for those stores to pay the company who inturns pays you quarterly.
So, it can take 9 months to over a year from the time the company says yes to getting your first royalty check. After that it will be about every 3 months.
