How do I get a company interested in my product without telling them details that would be protected in an NDA?

I recently received a good response from a product demo video I created. I started out with individual emails and cold phone calls to prospective contacts. About 1 in 3 wanted to see the video. Of those, 1 in 2 signed an NDA. One was willing to discus licensing and manufacturing. I was not successful in reaching their desired manufacturing cost so the idea has been scrapped. I have since posted the video on YouTube.

It is a little eye candy with out revealing any specifics.

You can tell a company enough about your idea without revealing the workings of that idea. Lets say you approach a company that makes kites. You can say that you have developed a kite that will launch itself and will fly in any wind conditions.
You have not told how you accomplish this task, but have given them enough info that they should be able to decide if their interest is peaked.

I have gotten 9 products licensed spending less than $100 on each, you can too.
