should i prototype or not?

I believe i have a great product that is very original. If i am trying to license it out to a manufacturer should i get a prototype made or would a virtual prototype be sufficient? it would cost a considerable amount to prototype and i would rather not spend all the money if i might not even get it licensed. but maybe a working prototype would make or break the deal. i dont know im new to this..

what do you think?

It really depends on what the product is and whether a potential licensee can understand it woithou a prototype. See my topic:
