Hey tony,

I was wondering if you could recommend a good book for inventors, which explains how to go about everything?

Thanks,

Jon

I don't believe Tony is around any longer. The only book I hear regularly recommended to inventors isPatent It Yourself, by David Pressman, although that is more specific to the subject of patenting rather than inventing/marketing.

You should be able to find helpful advice online, on sites like this in particular, although generally speaking you should obviously be careful re: what you buy into. (ETA grammar)

Patent It Yourself by David Pressmanis basically about how to write and file a patent. It's a good book on learning about patents and how they are used but I personally don't recommend writing your own legal documents without consulting an attorney. An overview of the key elements for a successful invention and other helpful information is available at our website.

Mom Inventor's Handbook by Tamara Monosoff

The book covers a broad spectrum of topics related to the inventing process, and is not just for Moms.

Amazon.com has many books on invention - you can read the reviews, and buy the ones with good ones.

My favorite book is "Profit From Your Idea" by Richard Stim.

This book should be read by every serious inventor.
