Hyperlinks are including the final period

I don't know if this is fixable, but I wasn't the only one to run into this problem: The hyperlinks are including the final period of a sentence.

So, as I type now, I could say and be grammatically correct:
Check out my blog at www.sparkbugg.com.

But that link will include the final period, so the link doesn't work.

Instead, I need to type:
Check out my blog at www.sparkbugg.com
and remember to omit the period, but this is counter-intuitive/habit.

The forum will be improved if this can be changed, but I am aware that it could be too much programming, or that you don't have access to the coding (ie. this forum template is outsourced).
