I don't believe this is true. The laws of physics apply to all of us. Usually more than one person finds the same solution to the same problem at about the same time. For example the telephone, television, and revolver.
Science can be duplicated. If 100 miles per gallon had been done 60 years ago. Someone else would have duplicated it.

The Chevy Volt will beat them all to the market.
The electric car was perfected 100 years ago. The problem is the battery, heavy, inefficient, and not green.
I believe these problems will be solved.
