They just announced today in the news of a new car manufacture called Bright Auto based out of Indiana.
1OO Miles Per Gallon
30 Miles on electric & the rest is a gas & electric hybrid.
Intended for Government & Corporate Fleet usage.
Just alittle foot note:
30 years ago I saw copies of a patent from the 1940's of a (GAS ONLY) fuel system that got 100 miles per gallon
A mechanic friend of mine has been working on putting a working prototype together for a few years now based on the patent from the 1940's

Truly one of those SAD Inventor stories.
The auto manufacture bought all exclusive patent rights.
The Inventor assumed they would use it & didn’t ask or know about performance clauses & therefore it was shelved.

Dear Inventor X,
I don't believe Detroit pays for technology and doesn't use it.
Back in the 70's the rumors of 75mpg carburetors were rampant.
My Uncle was a plant manager for Chrysler. I asked him why don't you guys sell cars with the 75 mpg carburetors?
His answer was so simple. "Terry if we had something like that we could sell so many Chrysler would be number one."
Let's say Detroit did shelve 100mpg technology. It would be hard to keep a secret.
Come to grips with this fact. All patents expire and are available to the public.
I will believe you about the 1940's 100mpg patent when I see it.
If it does exist you should be able to come up with a patent number.

Terry, a quick check found a plurality of patents issued in the 40's that would be good candidates for such a carburetor. A few even allude to what I suggested earlier in this thread. The point is that they are there. And, although text searching is more of a challenge for older patents, you're not going to find a patent titled "100 MPG Carb!" either.
There can be no question that oil is in. The wise innovator will take that into consideration when deciding how much effort to put into technology that seems to make all the sense in the world, yet just can't seem to find its way into the marketplace literally hundreds of years later.

My understanding is the fuel injection system surpassed the carburetor in performance and mileage 20 years ago.
I believe the internal combustion engine is about as good as it is going to get.
So rephrasing the original question.
If you had unlimited resources.
How would you harness the energy of oil to power a car?

I like where the GEET article says, "The "balance " point of a perfectly adjusted GEET Plasma reaction chamber, will give the same temperature coming out of the exhaust pipe as the ambient air, as well as the air quality should be the same or a slight increase of oxygen coming out of the tailpipe. So far the inventor has accomplished a 2% increase in oxygen coming out of an internal combustion using crude oil as fuel and a 3.5% increase using Battery acid mixed with 80% saltwater. At the higher than ambient oxygen levels you normally find ice forming on the exhaust pipes as a normal function of this phenomenon. "

Is that what kind of thing you were thinking about using the exhaust gas to heat the fuel mixture? This thing goes way beyond that. The guy Pantone didn't know why it worked only that it did work. I love the lawnmower.

Yeah. Just boil the gasoline off into a saturated vapor at about 500 F, add some oxygen, add pressure, create a spark...and then BOO-Yahhhhh!
