I'm not the most knowledgeable on grants, but I do know this...they are not just there for the taking. Most grants... i.e. money that does not have to be repaid... has VERY specific reasons for being offered, and, if you haven't figured out from all the web sites and infomercials, there is NO shortage of people looking for the handout. Realistically, grants are a way to assist ongoing enterprises with funds for R&D into areas of special interest. ANYBODY that says "you've been approved for a grant" when you haven't even applied, or don't even know why the funds are being offered, is just out to take you for as much money as you'll give them. Dude, do yourself a favor and quit spending money trying to get grants. If you are involved in an industry for which grant money is available, you will find out through industry trade associations.
