I had the pleasure of going to the National Hardware show in Las Vegas this week. UIA sponsored an inventor showcase. This was one of the best shows for inventors that I have attended. The products looked great. Their marketing material was superb. There was a lot of traffic in the hall, ie. manufacturers looking for new products. Some of which were Home Depot, Sams Club and others. Having these inventor shows that tie into a national trade show is a brilliant idea.

Congratulations to Patrick Raymond and UIA for a great turnout at the inventor spotlight at the National Hardware show this week. Patrick and everyone at UIA did a fantastic job with the show. There were more people in the inventor spotlight area than in the rest of the show.

The inventors that had booths had a lot of great products and it was packed. Manufacturers were visiting the booths and looking for new products.

It was great to reconnect with old friends and meet new friends. It was definitely a time for networking. Everyone in the inventing community was there. It was great to see all our old friend from Kim Babjak of KimCo, UIA President and product developer Warren Tuttle and Phil Thompson from the Nevada Inventors Association from Reno, to Leo Mazur from the Inventors Society of South Florida, Andy McKinley, Vice President of Stategy & Business Dev. Lenfest, Ken Bloemer Executive Director Planet Eureka! and Steve Pope from the Inventors Club of Kansas City.

After the show we all got together and went to dinner then dancing. I didn't know Warren Tuttle could dance so well along with bringing products to market.

I had a great time and I look forward to next years show. If you missed it this year, you missed out. Make sure to attend next years show.

Great job everyone!

I wish that I had known that you were there Stephen! I kept looking around for people that I might recognize.
Sounds like I missed a chance to meet some other interesting people as well. I talked to a lot of inventors in other areas of the show.
I must admit that I did not realize how that area was organized. I saw the huge Invention Home banner and thought that those were all their clients so I had a really bad attitude about it when I went through. So I apologize for my earlier post (since deleted). There were definitely a lot of people in there and if I had lucked out and run into you, I could have been enlightened and added another highlight to my Vegas trip.
Trade Show rookie mistake!

Sorry we did not connect. These shows are so big at times it's easy to get lost. I think UIA has a good idea here, attaching themselves to national tradeshows instead of stand alone shows. Next time I go to a show I will post here so we can meet up. I love to meet inventors.

It sounds like from your earlier post that the show was productive for you. Happy to see that.

Keep inventing!

Thanks,
Stephen
