Private message sitting in Outbox folder??

Hi,

I tried to send an email and I noticed that my private message is sitting in my "Outbox" folder instead of the "Sent messages" folder.

Does the "Outbox" folder mean that my message wasn't delivered successfully? If so, how can I get my message to show up in the "Sent messages" folder?

That is not normal.

Hmm, could you try copying your email out so you do not lose it, then sign out of the forums, clean out your cookies and cache and then sign back in to our system. We did a recent system upgrade and it may be affecting things.

Who are you trying to get ahold of?

Messages in your outbox sit there until that person logs-in & reads it.

Just a suggestion - find a post of the person you are trying to get ahold of & leave a message on that post hoping that they will read it & respond.

Another suggestion would be to post the name of the member HERE you are trying to get ahold of.

Hmm..what does it say when Inventor_x knows our system better than me?

Yeah, do what he says.

I don't really know anything technical like like how this forum works only class up the place.

The answer is in this section - Report Problems

By Admin - Roger - Messages in Outbox

The answer is that messages remain in your outbox until the recipient reads the message. Benefits are that you can pull the message any time before the recipient reads your message, if you change your mind for some reason. It also means that you can tell when your message was read.

Everything seems to be working.
