My favorites are not necessarily the ones with great inventions but rather the ones that made it possible for other inventors to monetize their inventions, such as Lemelson, Kearns, Katsz, etc. A lot of inventors don't realize that inventions were easy pickings for larger companies until a few inventors fought back and won. Now that companies have to pay for inventions they refer to non-practicing inventors as trolls and lobby congress to shift the balance in their favor again.
