I'm in the late stages of product development and am trying to decide whether to take the manufacture or license path.

My product is a DIY item perfect for Hardware stores.

A big unknown for me is can I get their attention.

I've lightly read HD's guidelines, and have also read that they are interested in Depth from their suppliers (manufacturing, technical infrastructure, financials, delivery, etc), but I do not know the 'real deal".

So concerning Home depot, Lowes, Ace, etc ...

My questions are:
Do they deal with small companies?
What is super important to tthem and what is cursory?
How many hoops do they make you jump through?
How rough are they with suppliers?

I'm seeking experience rather than theory, so please identify your info accordingly.

Thanks,

Ray
