Yes, MWB, we all know how a television show makes money...advertising revenue and sponsors. Does Fremantle NEED to make money by making improvements to inventions brought to the show? Of course not; however, if the opportunity presents itself, who's to say they wouldn't? There are a lot of creative minds in the organization, and if the improvement to the invention does not infringe, it is not illegal for them to do so. The only issue would be a moral issue, and I know how pristine Hollywood's reputation is when it comes to issue of morality.

Suffice it to say that the inventor risks EVERYTHING! Fremantle? NOTHING!

You take the same kind of risk when you start to promote your invention, no less. You need IP right protection weather you going on TV or not.
