I recently got involved with a Patent Assistance company that likes my idea. Now I take that with a grain of salt because they also like the money in my pocket.

My idea is so simple and very good that it wouldn't cost much to create but they want fees for this that and the other. I could easily run this business myself but I don't know how to go about getting someone to invest money in it. Who can I trust? Where do I turn? Please help.

Welcome to the site.

I think the first thing you do is take a look around at the forums and also the information packed into the site. http://inventorspot.com/invention_information
and Myra's blog.

Then, after you have a good feel for what has already been published, you can reevaluate whether you want to proceed with your company.

Good luck and I hope you will be an active member of our inventor community.
